March 1st - the end of August Design Team

Hi, my name is Cathy van de Bruinhorst. I am a small town girl, Yuba City - California, raised in a farming community. Met My Adorable One, Marcel, online in 1998 and imported him from Rotterdam Holland. Those importing fees were something else but the end result is fabulous!!! We have been married going on 16 years... we have 2 boys, Raym (27) and Taylor (Bugs 20).. Raym is married to Hannah and they have a little boy, Preston ... aka Yummy... he is our world. Granma and Daddo love to spend as much time with him as possible. I run a small home daycare and Yummy comes to me a few times a week and as many weekends as possible. We do take alot of pics of our family (mostly Yummy), motorcycle rides with our Gunslinger MC (law enforcement group) and get together's with friends and family.
I love scrapbooking, everything about it... the smell of the papers, the crunch of new albums, all the new goodies that come out every single year that I 'have to have'... I just love it!! I am incredibly lucky to have an 'enabler'.. my guy is a serious enabler and I love him for it!! He makes sure I have new goodies on a regular basis.. more than I need for sure!! We share a hobby room... which in one way is awesome... we are close to each other and jabber while we are busy with our hobbies but it pretty much stinks in another way... when he is at work I am always looking at his side and thinking of all the goodies I could have other there!! lol Shhhhh... don't tell him!!!
I first joined Let's Scrap wayyy back in 2010, started playing with the sketches and then moved up the ranks to DT, DT Coordinator, Admin and now, my partner in crime, Val and I are running this blog. It is a true labor of love... A lot of hours go into this blog and we hope you all enjoy it and continue to play along with us. I have met some amazing friends from all over the world thru Let's Scrap... I keep in contact with alot of previous DT girls and I would love to meet in person so many of them... someday maybe... ;0) We have a talented group of girls here, great sketch designers and, of course, the Admin is just incredible!!! ;0)

Hi, my name is Val Thorpe and I live in Johannesburg in sunny South Africa, it has been my home for 35 years now and I love it here.
I am married to Simon who is very long suffering and a keeper, I have two kids a son Clint 31 who is married and has twins who are featured a lot on my layouts and a daughter Storm 28 who is about to get married. So my life is full and very chaotic at the moment with wedding plans and looking after the twins two days a week.
I also have 4 very naughty and very cute yorkies (who I also scrap a lot) Pixi - 10, Butch - 5, Holly - 5 and Karma is 2. I also have a very beautiful cat called Hansa.
I am lucky enough to have an amazing scrap room and because I don't work I scrap almost 24/7, 365 days a year. How cool is that?? I know!
I have been scrapping since 2004 when I joined a class on Thursdays. We became knows as the Thursday Therapy group and we are still together. There are five of us, Myself, Cher, Des, Ilse and our latest acquistion is a Dutchie called Charlotte. I am the luckies girl around.
I would say my style is clean and simple and l love white space. I am equally at home with mixed media and project life. I like to make cards and have just started art journaling.

Hi my name is Ada Nicholls and I live in beautiful South Africa. I am married to Bruce and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I am happy to say my hobby has become my job. (I hope that makes sense). My children cannot believe that I call it 'working'.
I am a freelance scrapbook teacher and have been for the last 12 years or so. I teach regularly at weekend getaways.
I am also very proud to tell you my work has been published in our local Scrapbooking magazines.
Creating layouts around my photos is just what I love doing.
Busy layouts are for me and I love adding lots of embellishments. Never to take away the emphasis of the reason for scrapbooking - my photographs!!!!
I LOVE chipboard on my layouts as it gives it a bit of dimension.
I have just recently ventured into the world of mixed media and wow what an amazing hobby. Messy but lovely.
I am very excited and honoured to be back with the Let's Scrap team and can't wait to create around the lovely sketches and challenges they have for us.

Kia ora,   My name is Jonnece,  I am from Palmerston North, New Zealand (the first country in the world to see each day).    I am married to the wonderful Gregor (for 26 years),  we have 3 beautiful boys, Twins Arahi and Tira aged 13, and our youngest son Kiwa is 10.  I am a Business Advisor by day and have worked in the same place for over 33 years.  My spare time is spent with the 4 main men in my life and crafting.  I have dabbled in a variety of crafts over the years but a visit to a scrapbook shop to buy tape a few years back changed all of that and after staying to create a star album, I was hooked.  So scrapbooking has become a little bit of an addiction. Rather than presents from my boys I prefer guilt-free crafting hours and these I use for attending scrap camps and crafting evenings with a group of like-minded crafters.

I love creating layouts and my goal was to make a memory album for each of the boys however rather than just 1 album each it has become slightly more.    I also like to do off the page projects and have created a number of albums and keepsakes for family and friends. I do enjoy trying new techniques and products and I am a little addicted to patterned paper, which can be a problem when it comes to having to cut it up, LOL.  At this stage I don't believe I have a set style rather for me it depends on the photo and my layouts tend to evolve from what my initial base plan was, usually for the better.

I am absolutely wrapped and honoured to be part of the Lets Scrap Design team and I am so looking forward to being inspired by all the wonderful layouts about to be create over the next 6 months.  Please come visit me on -  http://craftyjonnece.blogspot.co.nz/  or at  https://www.facebook.com/craftyjonnece/?ref=hl  I am a little hooked on Pinterest, were I can be found -https://www.pinterest.com/jonnece/jps-scrapbook-layouts/

I'm a little town girl married to a big city boy. We live in West Texas and have four very active kids. I'm an investment advisor by day and a paper-cutting, ribbon-tying, dye-spraying, edge-distressing, paper-crafter by night. I absolutely LOVE sketches and am so happy to be part of the Let's Scrap Sketches Team!!!!

I've always loved doing something creative - it's something I inherited from my late grandfather. The two of us would always be doing something together - calligraphy, water colours, pencil sketching.
I have dabbled in MANY artistic and creative forms, but I'm pleased to say that I finally found my niche; my therapy - SCRAPBOOKING! It ties together my love of story telling, getting messy with paper and photography.
I was introduced to scrapping by a good friend in 2007/8 and have not looked back.
I am a Stay At Home mom to our gorgeous adopted daughter Isabella. Sadly, I lost my husband, soul mate and best friend on 25 November 2014.
My scrapping will now take a turn towards creating albums and canvases not only to celebrate the legacy of Travers, but also in creating story books for Isabella to pore over in the years to come - I will NOT let her forget what an awesome daddy she has!
This is my first stint as a Design Team member and I am truly humbled by that. I have also had one piece published in a local scrapping magazine, which made me extremely proud. Travers always knew that I could do it - he had more faith in my abilities than I did myself!
I am really looking forward to working with all these beautiful talented ladies on this team - and my wish is that in some way, I can inspire at least one person.
Love, hugs 'n light

My name is Rebecca Daly, a 30-something stay at home mom of a wonderful little boy, Kyle, who was born premature at 29 weeks. My son and our adventures make up the majority of my scrapbooking inspirations. I love taking pictures and usually take WAY too many, so at any given time I have 200+ photos waiting to be scrapped. I don't have a dedicated scrap space so I craft on my kitchen counter!! I scrapbook for my son so he can see our adventures through my eyes. I consider my style to be mostly simplistic but I love getting messy with inks, paints and mists. I hope you follow me along on my journey and I am able to inspire you to get your creative juices flowing!

I am a wife to Eric, Mum to 2 girls and my stepson. Grandmother to 4 boys and 1 girl. My Grandchildren feature the most on my layouts. Especially the 3 oldest boys, as they live in New Zealand. I had to stop working because of ill health and crafting is my passion. I make lots of card and sell some for charity and make cards on request as well. I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago, when I made a scrapbook for my daughter in New Zealand. That scrapbook got me hoold and I have never looked back. I have previously been on the Design Team for Let's Scrap and also for Scrapbook Magazing (UK) which sadly is no longer printed. I am so happy to be back on the Let's Scrap Design Tean and can't wait to see all the brilliant creations on there.

Hello Everyone! I'm so excited to be a part of the Let's Scrap Sketches Design Team!
A little about myself .... My name is Stephanie Johnson and I'm from Miamisburg, Ohio in the USA. I've been married to my partner in crime for fifteen years. We have 2 daughters, 3 dogs and 2 cats... and if that isn't enough, I teach Eighth Grade American History so for about 9 months of the year, I have over one hundred other kids that I'm in charge of along with the ones that I live with! As busy as life can get at times, I find that sitting in my scrap room playing along with paper restores my sanity and feeds my soul.
I think my love of scrapbooking does tie into my career. I love recording history of my family and telling their stores. I also love a good challenge! As a result, over the years, I've been on my local scrapbook store's design team until they closed two years ago. In addition, I've been involved in three online blogs and have been published twice in the Hobby Lobby Stamping, Stationary and Scrapbooking Magazine. I can not wait to get started here at Let's Scrap Sketches and sharing my projects with you all!!
